There is direct access on foot along the bridle path to Vicar Water Country Park and its fishing lake, cafe and children's playground. Bridle paths also lead to Sherwood Pines Forest Park and the treetop excitement of 'Go Ape'. Edwinstowe village and the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre with their links to Robin Hood are only 10 minutes away as is Rufford Abbey and Center Parcs.

Clipstone Forest which is on the National Cycle Route is 5 minutes ride along the bridle path that forms the boundary of Bridleways. Clumber Park and Newstead Abbey are within a short travelling distance and if you wish for something more lively, there are many more attractions for children and adults both locally and in Nottingham City - see our 'places to visit' page for more information.

The Guest House

All nine guest bedrooms each have en-suite bath or shower room, television, easy chairs or sofas and tea/coffee making facilities. The centre of the building was originally two late 18th century farm cottages and now houses five first floor single rooms and the ground floor breakfast room.

The west wing was added in 2005 to provide four spacious rooms used as double, twin and family bedrooms. Two are ground floor rooms and one has a shower room specially designed for people with restricted mobility and wheelchair users.
