Brick House Farm, a 630 acre working farm, is situated at the end of a quiet lane on the outskirts of Great Hormead, one of East Hertfordshire's picturesque villages. This is where a warm and friendly welcome awaits our guests, whether staying for pleasure or business.

The attractive high quality en-suite double or twin rooms have large picture windows giving you unspoilt views over the undulating countryside. Our breakfast room with its dual aspect also enables guests to watch the birds at their feeders or the cows and calves grazing in the meadows.

For the active there is the use of a tennis court and heated outdoor swimming pool or for the less energetic a stroll around our colourful garden with its roses and herbaceous border. Footpaths lead from the farm enabling you to walk through the wonderful rolling countryside. The Hertfordshire Way is situated only 300 yards from us.

If staying for pleasure we are centrally located for visits to Cambridge, the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, Audley End near Saffron Walden, Knebworth House near Stevenage, Wimpole Hall, Hertford. A little further afield why not try a day trip into either London, Essex, Suffolk or Norfolk. London Stansted Airport is also just 30 minutes drive from our home.For the business person we frequently have guests who are working in Buntingford, Royston, Ware, Hertford, Hoddesdon and Stevenage, as well as those actually working at Stansted Airport. These towns are all easily accessible from our secluded spot enabling guests to return to a quiet and peaceful stay.

FROM M25 UP A10 NORTHBOUND
From roundabout north of Puckeridge bypass turn right signed to Braughing on the B1368. Travel through the villages of Braughing, Hay Street, Dassels and Hare Street. As you start to leave the village of Hare Street there is the Beehive Pub on your left, turn right on the B1038 towards Great Hormead. Pass the school on the left and enter the village. The Three Tuns pub stands on your righthand side. Directly opposite the pub on the left is a thatched cream painted cottage and immediately before the cottage is a narrow lane. Turn left up the narrow lane and follow the road for approximately three-quarters of a mile. The road forks. Take the right hand fork and drive until you reach the farm. There are two houses on the left, we are the house on the right which is painted yellow with a car park in front of the house.

FROM M11 ALONG A120 LINKING TO A10
Where the A120 joins the A10 at the roundabout, turn right going northwards. Follow the above instructions.

FROM CAMBRIDGE ON A10 SOUTHBOUND
When you arrive at Buntingford on the A10 turn left at the roundabout (there is a petrol garage besides the roundabout) towards the town. Follow the road for half a mile, the road bears to the right. When you get to the Jolly Sailors pub on the left, turn left up Hare Street Road, (the Co-op is on the opposite side of the road to the Jolly Sailors. Travel to Hare Street on the B1038. In Hare Street turn left and immediate right opposite the Beehive pub towards Great Hormead. Pass the school on the left and enter the village. The Three Tuns pub stands on your righthand side. FROM A11 DRIVING FROM NEWPORT ON THE B1038
On entering the village of Great Hormead drive until you see the Three Tuns pub on your left.
