 Bourne FarmCottages are set in the small village of Pilton about 8 miles from the historic city of Wells and Glastonbury, 25 miles south of Bath. Nestled in the heart of Somerset, we are well placed for all sorts of travelling and entertainment excursions, being 2 miles from the Bath and West showground, 25mins. from Longleat, 50mins. from Stonehenge, and a short distance from leisure centres and golf courses. Shire Cottageis a surprisingly spacious but cosy residence, it sleeps 7 + cot. It has its own south facing patio and grassed area in front, and overlooks the lake and stream to the fields beyond. It is set to the east of the village, along a leafy lane, up a farm track, and next to a large lake stocked with fish, and natural streams. There is a huge communal grassed area where visitors can walk and play or picnic, and the surrounding countryside is expansive and tranquil.
The ground floor comprises sitting room with open fire and oak beams, and dining area combined. Two double doors lead into the fully equipped and newly installed oak kitchen, with dishwasher and washing machine, and seated area. Both rooms are south facing and overlook the garden and patio. Three wide steps lead from the lounge up to the ground floor bathroom, back door & hall-way, and 4th bedroom. The bedroom has twin beds and is conveniently placed just across the hall from the bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and wash basin, all newly refurbished, and installed. Then upstairsto the landing with shower room and 2nd toilet, and three further bedrooms, all central to the landing. The master bedroom has a double bed, the 2nd bedroom has twin beds and both overlook the garden & fields to the south. The third bedroom has a velux window and a bed platform with single bed on top. This bedroom is mostsuitable for children where there is plenty of space for one or two single beds, or bed + cot. Cider Barn Image Gallery
 Direct train from London takes 1hr 15mins. Nearest local bus station – Wells – 8 miles by main road, (5 miles along the lanes). Take A371 towards Shepton Mallet then follow map. Local buses to Pilton twice a day. Bus stop in Pilton approx.1.5miles from Bourne Farm on foot. Nearest main bus & train station – Bath, Bristol approx. 25 – 30 miles away by road. Transfers from Bus and Train station to local stations.
