Besides having many delightful individual shops (including a large number of antique shops), Woodstock is endowed with a wide variety of eating places ranging from the renowned Bear and Feathers hotels, through French, Italian, Chinese, Indian restaurants, to centuries-old charming English pubs. Bladon (Winston Churchill's Burial place) is one mile away, Oxford 8 miles (frequent bus service or easy Park & Ride) and Stratford approximately 30 miles. |
Woodstock is also well located for exploring the Cotswolds. In fact, a year round destination, ideal for short winter breaks as well as an overnight touring stop. ![]() The Blenheim is a 200-year old home, tastefully converted to a charming 6 bedroom guest house and traditional country tea rooms. We are ideally located for guests attending functions at Blenheim Palace. |
Each quiet comfortable bedroom is individually designed and attractively furnished. We pride ourselves on our relaxed, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. All bedrooms have shower facilities, television, hairdryers, wireless internet access and tea/coffee making equipment.
Prices range from £50 for single occupancy of a double room to £75 for a triple/family room. We accept Visa, Mastercard & debit cards. Prices include a full English Breakfast and VAT. Freshly prepared light lunches and delicious cream teas are also available in the typically English tearooms. The guest house is open throughout the year. The tea rooms are open every day except Christmas Day. |
The Blenheim is also a perfect venue for small private dinners (10-16), evening meetings or functions (up to 40). ![]() We are also happy to provide an evening meal for groups of overnight guests with exclusive use of the dining room (minimum 10). Please phone for more information. |
Bookings Booking ahead is always advisable, particularly during the busy summer season. However, please note that cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance or longer if specified will be charged unless we can re-let your room. It is most helpful to us to know your estimated time of arrival, especially if this is likely to be after 6.00pm. |
Directions From the M40 (Junction 9) and A34 follow the signs to Blenheim Palace. Alternatively take the A44 to Woodstock. Once in Woodstock turn into the town centre towards the County Museum. Continue until road is at its narrowest point (past the church). The Blenheim is on the left a few yards from Blenheim Palace gates. You may park outside to unload. There is unrestricted free parking in the town centre from 3.30pm until 11.00am. There is also all day parking close by. |
