Since 1979 the Blacksmiths Arms has been sympathetically and expertly restored and upgraded to such a high standard. It is now regarded as one of the areas most charming and popular Inns. | The olde worlde atmosphere and character of the two bars is a fine example of times long gone, in fact very little has changed in these rooms in two hundred years - except for the electric light bulb and slight increase in beer prices. On chilly nights, the open fire burns logs from the Duchy forest, sending out the warmth and comfort synonymous with this hostelry. The fine furnishings and traditional furniture are a credit to the Arnall family who have striven and succeeded in preserving this unique and rare example of an English Country Inn.
