| The Accommodation The bedrooms here at the Bessemer Hotel are among the finest to be found in Hotels anywhere and we can assure you that your stay with us will be a pleasant one. A modern key card system allows easy access to rooms and is a more convenient to carry than cumbersome keys. The rooms are just that little bit larger and the fitted furniture affords more space. Each bedroom also has full en-suite facilities, T.V., etc.
Coffee and tea making facilities are also provided, together with the daily paper and a telephone to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Double, Twin and Family rooms are available and we have excellent access and facilities for guests with special needs. We can assure you that you will want to stay longer, and we hope you will want to come back soon. |

| The Restaurant Here at the Bessemer we are proud of our reputation for good food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you choose from our 'a la carte' menu or the Carvery Counter the standard will be the same. Help yourself to a wide selection of vegetables or salad. Take what you want, but eat what you take. Second trips are there for that little extra. The addition of our Conservatory Restaurant has proved very popular. It is light and airy and can be booked for that small private function with entertainment if required. ![]() The Carvery area has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with booths that give a little more privacy for that quiet time together. The Bessemer Hotel has a 150 capacity, fully staffed Restaurant, and can accomodate parties either in our main seating areas or in our beautiful conservatory. We guarantee that our superb, mouth watering menu can alleviate the hunger of any person. Help yourself to as many extras as you like, all that we ask is that you finish your meal!

| How to get to the Bessemer Hotel The Bessemer Hotel is extremely straight forward to find. Whether you are coming from Cardiff, Brecon, Swansea or from the Midlands. You should be heading towards Merthyr Tydfil, and you will be on one of two major roads the A470 or the A465. Travelling North on the A470 from Cardiff If travelling North from Cardiff (M4 J32), you should turn onto the A4060 link road which is signposted asPentrebach A4060 and Abergavenny (A465), continue down to a small roundabout which has three exits.Take the third, you will find B&Q and Comet on your LEFT hand side.At the next small roundabout, take your second exit and continue onto the dual carriageway up the hill.At the next roundabout take your second exit and continue on the dual carriageway.The next roundabout is Dowlais Top roundabout and you will see an Asda superstore opposite.Take your immediate left (A4102 Merthyr Tydfil). Now follow the local directions. Travelling East on the A465 from Swansea or Neath - If travelling East from Swansea, you should continue until Dowlais Top roundabout where you will see an Asda superstore on your left hand side. Take your fourth exit (A4102 Merthyr Tydfil). Now follow the local directions. Travelling West on the A465 from Abergavenny (or M50, M5, A40) If travelling West on the A465, you should continue until Dowlais Top roundabout where you will see an Asda superstore on your far right hand side and a BP garage on your left. Take your second exit (A4102 Merthyr Tydfil). Now follow the local directions. Travelling South on the A470 from Brecon If travelling south you should turn left onto the A465 which is signposted for Abergavenny. You should continue until Dowlais Top roundabout where you will see an Asda superstore on your left hand side. Take your fourth exit (A4102 Merthyr Tydfil). Now follow the local directions.
