The minute we saw Bee Cottage Farmhouse we fell in love with it and hope you will too. Our experience of guesthouses tells us that cleanliness, comfort, good service and good hospitality are fundamental requirements. We also offer good food, served in our conservatory dining rooms where you can enjoy the views. We are happy to cater for vegetarians. We are licensed and offer a small range of wines, beers and spirits at reasonable prices. Bee Cottage Farmhouse makes a fine place to get away from the stresses of daily life. Enjoy the stunning views from our conservatory dining rooms, lounge and gardens. In the lounge, you can enjoy browsing through our books or make plans about which of the many places and activities you will sample next. When the weather permits, residents are welcome to sit in the garden to relax and soak up the scenery. |

| Places to go, Things to see. For a really peaceful day, you could leave the car on the car park, and walk or cycle the many beautiful local footpaths and cycle ways (inc C2C). The wider area offers an infinite variety of routes from remote, strenuous paths to easy level walkways of historical interest. We think a visit to High Force near Middleton-in-Teesdale is a must. Northumbria boasts over 80 golf courses, including championship courses such as nearby Slaley Hall. If you like fishing, there are plenty of opportunities. There are many wonderful and interesting towns and cities to see, inluding Durham, Hexham, Barnard Castle and of course Newcastle. There are gardens galore, and several railways. For shopaholics, there is the Metro Centre in Gateshead. Concerts and theatre productions take place in many places throughout the year, and, in particular in Durham and Newcastle. Another must is Beamish Open Air Museum. You will find a huge number of museums in the area, and don't forget Hadrian's Wall! All of the above are within a 20 mile radius from here, and we've left out so much! |
