Bed and Breakfast Overlooking Lyme Bay

An elegant Victorian guest house in an unrivalled location

Location

Beaumont, Seaton, Beach front, 12K

Beaumont enjoys an unrivalled location in the seaside town of Seaton. It is on the sea front, at the edge of the town, close to shops, restaurants and to all of the leisure and sporting facilities offered by the town.

We are within eight miles of both the East Dorset and South Somerset borders, thereby enjoying the tourist benefits of three counties. All three county towns are within easy reach. . . . Dorchester, Taunton and Exeter.

We are at the heart of the only coastal world Heritage Site in England . . . . the 'Jurassic Coast', bordered by a large Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a site of special scientific interest.

The long and winding river Axe and its estuary wetlands open out into Seaton Bay, beneath the limestone Haven Cliffs.

For walking we can offer everything from the three quarter mile esplanade opposite, through rural rambles, town walks, circular walks, the 'Devon Way' and a spectaular section of the 400 mile South Coast Walk, for those with time on their hands and energy to spare.

There are many and varied attractions within easy reach, from National Trust estates, zoos and parklands, to theme parks and private gardens, not to mention Seaton's own historical tramway and the famous Pecorama in the adjacent fishing village of Beer. Further afield are the great moorlands of Exmoor and Dartmoor.

Dining Out

There are seven restaurants, five takeaways and three cafes within a few minutes walk.

There are four pubs, three with restaurant facilities, just a few minutes walk away.

In the next village of beer there are further cafes, pubs, takeaways, wine bars and restaurants.

We can advise you on specialised restaurants and pubs in the locality.
