The major airports are 45 minutes away by motorway. Walking distance from the town centre with plenty of off-road parking and close to restaurants, pubs and a laundrette.  |
| From South M6; M74; M73 towards Glasgow From Glasgow M8 motorway through Glasgow onto M80 motorway towards Stirling From Edinburgh & from North M9 motorway towards Stirling Thereafter At junction 9 Granada Services- Stirling Exit, take A872 North towards Town Centre passing Bannockburn Heritage Centre on left, after about 1.5 miles. Then pass Hollybank Restaurant, on left, Barnsdale Road is 2nd left after the Hollybank and before the Borestone Roundabout. Barnsdale House is number 19, the first house after the Laundrette, Newsagents and Hairdressers' shops. There is no B&B sign. You can park in the drive at the first set of gates before the House. |

The major cities in Scotland are within comfortable travelling distance, either by car or by public transport. These offer a wide range of shopping, art, culture, sport and festivals throughout the year.Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, St Andrews and Dundee are within one hours drive.Fort William, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dumfries and Melrose are all within three hours by car.

| Built in 1861 the monument has 273 steps to the magnificent view of the Carse and the Forth, viewing the sites of six major battles which changed the course of Scottish, British and European history. This monument was erected in tribute to Wallace on Abbey Craig from where, in 1296, Wallace and Douglas watched and waited for the English to commit themselves to cross the wooden Stirling Bridge onto the boggy Causeway and annihilation. |
 Robert the Bruce: a statue with the image of King Robert taken from his skull. This is situated at the Bannockburn Heritage Centre, commemorating the re-capture of Stirling Castle in 1314. The Heritage Centre has a video display and artefacts from the time and is possibly on the position from which the Bruce successfully directed the battle against the English Army in which the Scottish army of 5000 defeated the cream of European chivalry with an army of 20,000 yeomen and cavalry of Edward II. |
 Stirling Castle on the near impregnable volcanic plug for centuries, guarding the only crossing to the North of Scotland and the Highlands. For many years there has been a fortification on this site dating back to before the Romans who built a bridge to the west of the current bridges. |
