Welcome to the 'Aulden' Bed & Breakfast which is run by Sue and Geoff Lillico.

Situated in the quiet outskirts of the village of Warkworth, we have been providing a warm and friendly welcome to guests for many years.

Here you can find peace from the hustle and bustle of daily life, in surroundings that allow you to relax and unwind. We want our guests get the best from their stay, and are happy to help with local knowledge, things to do and places to see.

Guests can enjoy a beautiful walk along the river bank to the village and castle, where you will find shops, restaurants and pubs and for the more active, a lovely walk on the golden sandy beach, with views to Coquet Island.

ROOMS The DOUBLE BEDROOM has an en-suite with large walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. It is comfortably furnished with colour T.V., alarm-clock radio, hairdryer, and central heating. Guests can enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and biscuits, or indulge in some complementary chocolates. This room has views of the garden.
The TWIN-BEDDED room is decorated in soft lilacs and greens. It has a colour T.V., alarm-clock radio, hairdryer, and central heating. Enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and biscuits, available in your room, after an enjoyable day visiting the many attractions in the area, or have a chocolate or two! You are on holiday! There is a wash basin in the room and a separate private bathroom. This room overlooks the front garden.
The DINING ROOM is a pleasant sunny room for breakfast, furnished with family antiques. We offer a varied menu, including a delicious home-cooked full English Breakfast (for the hungrier guest), and for those wishing something lighter, there is fruit, yoghurt, cereal, fruit juice, toast, homemade preserves, various teas and coffee.
The GARDEN* at the front of the house is available for the guests' use. There is a pleasant seat to enjoy the flowers and many birds that visit our garden.*

RATES

Bed and Breakfast is £23.00 to £25.00 per person per night. Weekly rates are available. We ask for a deposit to be sent at the time of booking. We accept cheques, cash or Euros, but regret we do not have facilities to take credit cards Enquiries/bookings can be made by phone or via e-mail. Please see our website for further information. We are sorry we cannot accommodate small children or pets. For the comfort of all our guests we offer a completely smoke-free environment.

WARKWORTH

Warkworth is your ideal base from which to tour Northumberland, from Berwick in the north, to Hadrian's Wall in the west, and all within an hour's drive.

For those interested in walking, Warkworth is on the newly opened long-distance walk from Cresswell in the south to Berwick in the north, following the spectacular heritage coastline. The Coast Path, which is 64 miles, can be walked in stages, or just short stretches, and is part of the North Sea Trail, a European Union project which has created coastal walking routes around the North Sea. We are also on the long distance cycle trails, and have secure covered parking for bikes.

There are many castles in Northumberland, as this is the borderland to Scotland, and saw fierce fighting in the Middle Ages. Take time to visit some of our castles.
