| Accommodation History |
| Auchenheglish Lodge is a grade "B" listed building dating back to 1867 and is unique in its setting being the closest house to the water. Previously part of the private Auchenheglish Estate, the lodge was completely renovated in 1995/96 and subsequently developed two luxury holiday lodges in one of the most famous and beautiful parts of Scotland within the Loch Lomond National Park and surrounded by Mountains, Rivers and Lochs, yet only 30 minutes away from Glasgow. Jetty Lodge and Cundy Lodge. Each lodge has private gardens and unrestricted views over the water to Ben Lomond and the mountains beyond. An idyllic, tranquil setting to relax in with your own waterside patio and barbecue together with a private jetty and moorings for the use of the lodge guests. Both lodges are pet and smoke free. |
| Criench & Heron Lodge Both accommodate 2 people. They have one king size ensuite bedroom with French doors leading to the balcony on the upper level and a large open plan Lounge with Dining area downstairs. They both have a fully fitted Kitchen and an additional Toilet. Both have a Lounge and Bedroom with excellent loch views and are both equipped with satellite TV, telephone & full central heating.
They both have a large water side decked area with garden furniture and steps leading down to a barbeque on the beach. |
| Jetty Lodge |
| Accommodates 4 people, it has two double en-suite bedrooms, a lounge with sofa bed for occasional guests, dining area, and fully fitted kitchen, on the lower level. An open plan staircase leads to the upper level, which has a second lounge with French doors opening on to a large balcony with patio furniture. The second bedroom is also located on this level. All lounges and bedrooms have loch views and are equipped with satellite television. There is a telephone/fax (charged according to use) and the tariff is inclusive of full central heating and gas cooking. |
| Cundy Lodge |
| Accommodates 2 people, it has one double en-suite bedroom, open plan lounge with sofa bed and fully fitted kitchen. French doors lead to your own waterside patio with private garden and barbecue complete with patio furniture. Full central heating, gas cooking, telephone/fax (charged according to use), are all inclusive.  An ideal apartment for a romantic break with the waters edge right on your doorstep. |
| Food and Drink Within a short walk there is a choice of five restaurant/bars. Duck Bay Marina boasts two excellent restaurants providing both A La Carte dining and bar meals plus a nightclub and it is only five minutes walk along the loch side. The Crannog bar/restaurant is also a five minute walk and overlooks the loch to Ben Lomond. The famous Cameron House Hotel (five star) is just 200 yards beyond Duck Bay Marina offering various restaurants, bars and lounges. It also provides facilities such as shooting, fishing, quad biking, water sports, massage and beauty therapy. Within a 30 minute walk along the loch side or a short taxi ride there is the nearby town of Balloch where you will find various bars and restaurants. |
| Location The lodges are ideally situated and centrally based for a holiday in Scotland. Glasgow can be reached in around 30 minutes by road and Edinburgh is a further 45 minutes away. Public transport is easily accessible. Glasgow airport is a 20 minute drive. Head a short distance north from the lodges and there are the beautiful Highlands and islands to explore. |
