| Ashlea Manor is our Victorian villa home and our aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and quality Guest House to our visitors. We believe the best way to achieve this is to offer the best services that can be expected by our guests that stay with us. |
Facts The house was built around 1870 to high Victorian standards in the Burgh of Monifieth by James Fairweather Low, a local businessman who manufactured machinery for the jute makers. We are a non-smoking home and have a spacious car park with all-night lighting. Ashlea Manor overlooks the Firth of Tay with its extensive views beyond to Fife. We are ideally placed for keen golfers as we are very close to the two Golf Links in Monifieth (click on the News button on the left for more information), the Carnoustie International Golf Course is only a few miles away along the coast road, and St Andrews is just a 30 minutes drive away into Fife. |
| Directions From Dundee, take the A92 to Abroath. Ignore Monifieth road signs until you reach Dobbies Garden Centre and McDonalds Drive-in Restaurant on your left just before the roundabout. Take the 3rd exit off the roundabout signed Ashludie Hospital. This is the top end of Victoria Street. Follow this road to the bottom end - approximately a half-mile. The entrance to Ashlea Manor is on the left, signed on both sides of our driveway entrance, opposite Seaview Primary School just before the T-junction. |

| Guest Room Rates Double room with en-suite shower- £60 per night (Carnoustie Room) Double room with own private bathroom - £60 per night (Monifieth Room) Twin room with own private bathroom - £55 per night (St Andrews Room) Single room with shared bathroom - £27.60 per night Single occupancy rate for either double room is £40 per night Single occupancy rate for twin room is £35 per night For bookings of 5 nights or more, we offer a 10% discount on the room rate for day 5 onwards. Longer term bookings discounts are negotiable. All room rates include full English/Scottish or Continental Breakfast with endless tea or fresh-brewed coffee. |
| Afternoon & Evening Meals We are pleased to offer afternoon teas, high teas and evening meals by prior arrangement - usually requested by mid-day for that afternoon or evening. Afternoon teas (English Cream Teas) are priced at £4.95 per person. Evening meals are priced at £18.50 per person for a 3-course meal, and £15 per person for a 2-course meal. All meals are prepared using fresh, top quality, locally available ingredients (organic where possible) and include an endless pot of tea or fresh-brewed coffee! We can cater for most food preferences including special diets such as gluten-free (for coeliacs) and vegetarian - please contact us if you have any special requirements.

| The Guest Rooms The Carnoustie Room  This is our double-bed room with king-size bed and en-suite shower room, both recently redecorated to a high standard. Like all our guest rooms it comes with a Coffee & Tea Tray, TV with remote control, electric alarm clock, extra blankets and pillows, and even an hot-water bottle! The St. Andrews Room This is our recently added twin-bed guest room with private bathroom. It also comes with a Coffee & Tea Tray, TV with remote control, electric alarm clock, extra blankets and pillows, and an hot-water bottle if needed! More photos will be added later. | GOLF Nearby are the MONIFIETH GOLF LINKS that have 2 courses - the Monifieth Medal and the Ashludie. Monifieth Medal - a Par 71 course of over 6600 yards, once described as a sparkling diamond in a necklace of golfing links that run along the north shore of the Tay estuary, the Monifieth Medal is a qualifying venue when The Open Championship is held at neaby Carnoustie. The Ashludie - a Par 68 course of over 5000 yards, designed by James Braid, this course is compact and challenging offering any golfer immense enjoyment played on its own or as a second round in a days outing. We would be pleased to make bookings on your behalf, arrange a tuition session (all standards) for you at Ron McLeod’s well-stocked Pro-Golf Shop and provide packed lunches.
