Welcome to Apple Tree House Bed and Breakfast.

We have tried to make our B&B the one we would want to stay in. So it is warm, comfortable and friendly with lots of little touches that make all the difference. There are flowers, biscuits and chocolates in the rooms, luxurious beds, big towels and hand-made quilts. We have videos to play on the TV/VCR in your bedroom and books, maps and guidebooks to borrow, the magical garden to wander in and a great choice of food for breakfast in our beautiful new sparkling conservatory overlooking the garden.

As an extra service we can now pick you up in a people carrier, to and from Bristol Airport, Bristol Temple Meads station, and Castle Cary Station. You will need to phone us on 01458 830803 to arrange this.

We also have wireless Internet access for your laptop available in all rooms, should you wish to keep up with the emails!

Explore the delights of the West Country and make Apple Tree House your home from home, to return to after the adventures of the day. Glastonbury is central for so many wonderful places to see and visit - Bath, Cheddar, Exmoor, Wells, Lyme Regis, Stonehenge and Avebury, Longleat, many beautiful gardens, such as Stourhead, which are open to the public. It is also a lovely place to stop en route to Cornwall and Tintagel.

Rooms

If you choose Rhiannon, the double bedroom, you will find a super kingsize bed in your room (6' x 6'6"), fitted cupboards, a remote control colour TV with VCR, tea and coffee making facilities and an ensuite shower room. A room for love and joy.

The Sophiaroom is on the top floor and has the most wonderful views of the Tor, the Abbey grounds and the Levels. There is a huge window that faces the Tor and the sun rising over the Tor in the morning is a lovely sight. Sophia is also luxuriously fitted with remote control colour TV with VCR, tea and coffee making facilities, and its own lilac ensuite bathroom with bath, basin and toilet.Apple Tree House, 6K

We also have two single bedrooms which match Sophia and Rhiannon for comfort, luxury and appeal. They share the large light and airy main bathroom, which has its own corner bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Apple Tree House, 7KFirstly there is Mary, a room full of light, which has beautiful views over the Abbey grounds. It has a hand basin and fitted cupboards and a sunny, energising appeal. It also has a remote control colour TV with VCR, and full tea and coffee making facilities. A room for inspiration and energy.
Apple Tree House, 7KLast but not least is Tara, a room that can be booked on a single or a double basis, an oriental inspired room also with hand basin and fitted cupboards and a calm, meditative quality all of its own. It is a room for thinking, but also for comfort with tea and coffee making facilities and remote control colour TV with VCR. A room for meditation and awareness.

Food

Breakfast is served in the conservatory with its lovely views of the garden, the Abbey and the birds and squirrels that live in them.

You can choose from a full English breakfast, with vegetarian sausage if preferred. However, if you would like a lighter meal, scrambled egg say, or boiled eggs, this is no problem.

We believe that it is important that vegetarians and vegans have just as good a breakfast as meat eaters and to this end we have two refrigerators to ensure that the meat is kept separate from the dairy, for hygiene as well as for the comfort of vegetarians.

We may also sometimes offer different breakfasts according to the season as well as our full English.

Coffee is freshly brewed from good breakfast beans, newly ground, and you can help yourself to as much as you want. The same is true of the tea, freshly made in a large teapot.

Maybe you would enjoy a juice, fruit and cereal breakfast from the sideboard where there is always a good selection, either to begin your cooked breakfast or for a lighter start to the day.

Bread is sometimes home-made and your stay may be greeted with the smell of newly baked bread - irresistible! Add some of our home made preserves to finish and you won't need to eat again for a good while!
