The Dairy Farm at Saltmarshe is just five minutes from the M62, yet is surrounded by beautiful parkland to make your stay truly special. Saltmarshe is also close to the shopping cities of York, Hull and Leeds so you really can enjoy the best of both worlds when you book a trip here.

Even the drive to The Dairy Farm is worth a visit in itself - with century-old oak trees dotted through ancient parkland, you'll pass the grand Georgian building of Saltmarshe Hall on your left before reaching this gem of a place, nestled in stunning woodland.

Vivienne and her husband John have done a fantastic restoration of both their house and its surrounding cottages, so you're guaranteed a wonderful stay, whether it's a short break, bed & breakfast or self-catering, in smart, recently renovated accommodation. High standards are order of the day here, as Vivienne prides herself on giving her guests an exceptional experience - Including a freshly baked 'apple pie welcome', or information on local events. Both four star cottages are very well appointed. They both consist of a kitchen with all appliances including a dish washer a washing machine and use of a freezer; a comfortable sitting room with a sofa bed, shower rooms (River Cottage has an ensuite), and two bedrooms: a double and a twin bedded one. The two cottages have gas central heating and there are drying facilities for serious walkers etc.

The grounds around the cottages are ideal for children to play in, there is space for cricket, crochet or exploring and room for pets which are welcome by agreement.
