Make yourself right at home in one of our six en suite guest rooms. All rooms are lovingly cleaned every single day, so should meet all of your standards of cleanliness. They all benefit from the same facilities and guest services, whilst considerable thought has been given to the finer details. Some of our guest services include a complimentary on site car park, freshly cooked breakfast, proudly prepared in our five star awarded kitchen by Environmental Health, iron and ironing board on request and packed lunches also on request.
In each guest room you would find an en-suite shower room with a selection of toiletries and fresh towels, complimentary N1 WiFi connection and digital TV, USB MP3 compatible CD/Radio player, radio alarm clock, refreshment tray and hairdryer.
We observe a strict No Smoking policy, so our guests can have confidence that the guest rooms are clean and fresh.

Your breakfast is freshly cooked in our five star kitchen rated by Chesterfield councils Environmental Health and you can have confidence that we have excellent cleaning practices and a sound knowledge of food safety, using fresh ingredients, cooked freshly.
Breakfast starts as early as you wish and is served until 8.30am on Weekdays and 9am on Weekends and Bank Holidays.
Full English consists of: Back Bacon, Fresh Lincolnshire Sausages, Fried Egg, Baked Beans, Hash Brown, Fresh Tomato, Mushrooms, Toast, Tea or Coffee & Fruit Juice.
Vegetarian Sausages or vegetarian bacon, Fried Bread and black pudding is also available
If a Full English Breakfast is too much to handle why not try a lighter option such as: Beans on Toast, Scrambled, Fried or Poached Eggs on Toast, Boiled Eggs with Soldiers or bacon/sausage/egg sandwich.
Special Dietary needs can also be catered for.
Packed lunches can be provided in lieu of a breakfast if required. This is particularly useful for very early risers who are not hungry. Alternatively, a packed lunch can also be purchased for those with heavy itineraries. These are most helpful for walkers.
Your hosts are Martin and Lisa. They took ownership of the guest house in December 2006. They are continually updating and modernising all the rooms and communal areas to the highest standards.
Along with the help of little Rosie and Frasier, they do operate the Guest House together, they do all their own cleaning and take great pride in the service they provide for their guests.

Twisted Spire Church
The famous Spire stands 228 feet from the ground and 'leans' 9 feet 5 inches from its true centre. The Spire was 'twisted' when unseasoned wood was used during its construction. Then 32 tons of lead tiles were placed on top and as the timber dried out the weight of the lead twisted the spire

The 'Palace of the Peak' is a family home which was built to be shared with visitors. You are invited to walk at your own pace through the house, absorbing the atmosphere of its beautiful rooms and the story that they tell of the family's history over the last 450 years.
Bolsover Castle was originally built by the Peverel family in the 12th century but after years of neglect was purchased by Sir George Talbot in 1553.
