| Amberley is a large, modern ranch-style bungalow situated in one acre of idyllic lawns and gardens with river frontage. Tucked away behind the 13th-century Parish Church in the conservation area of the village, overlooking the Wreake Valley, we offer both bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation. Enjoy breakfast in the garden room with the interest of swans and bird life on the river bank. Watch for foxes with their cubs on the floodlit lawns. Fishing from the river bank is very popular with our angling friends. Horse riding is available at the nearby Riverside Riding Centre and there's an 18-hole golf course just 3 miles from us. All bedrooms are ensuite and have colour TV, small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Central heating throughout. No smoking by popular request. We have ample parking and full wheelchair access. Excellent meals are available at the local inns within easy walking distance. |

| The village of Asfordby is just 3 miles west of the famous pork pie and Stilton cheese town of Melton Mowbray which has bustling street markets every Tuesday and Saturday. Melton's 13th-century St. Mary's Church is one of the most impressive in the county and well worth a visit. Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham are all within a 15-mile radius. Legendary Robin Hood country is close by too! For other excursions you can visit Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rockingham Castle, Belvoir Castle and the Peak District which are just an hour's drive away. |

| Oh to be at Amberley | |
| Almost our second home | Yet not the place alone |
| A garden of tranquillity | It's those who own and share |
| In which we love to roam | Who give to Amberley its tone! |
| And by the quiet river | So - Bruce & Doris - we thank you |
| We find the peace we sought | For your welcome warm and caring |
| Our walk becomes the giver | For the way you have of sharing |
| Of calm and grateful thought | In a spirit that does ring true! |
| It is beautiful, it is lovely, | Sheltered in the dappled | Where emerald lawns and waters |
| Down by the river | shade | meet, |
| Wreake, | Of trees in summer green, | Glide stately swans, majestically, |
| It is 'Amberley' in | Rising from the flowerbeds | We sit entranced on the garden |
| Asfordby, | Of rainbow hue and sheen. | seat, |
| That is the house to | Wrapped in the aura of 'Amberley'. | |
| seek. |
