Centrally situated, only 7 minutes walk to York City Centre, Medieval City Walls and York's historic attractions and only 10 minutes walk to York's famous Knavesmire Racecourse. The ideal location for visiting York Minister, The Shambles, The Jorvic Viking Centre, Castle Museum and the National Railway Museum.

Cornflakes, Weetabix, Albran, Branflakes, homemade muesli and hot Scott's porridge oats
Freshly cut melon, half fresh grapefruit, fresh fruit salad, natural or fruit yogurt's or fresh fruit.
Grilled back bacon, grilled pork sausages, tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, scrambled, poached boiled or fried eggs.
White or wholemeal toast and croissants accompanied by butter, Flora, homemade jam, marmalade or hones.
All of the above produce is supplied by high quality local suppliers.

Details
Mid week Bargain Breaks are not applicable for key events in York i.e. race meetings, bank holidays etc.
A supplement of 3.00 per person per night applicable to the Ebor Race Meeting.
No deposit is required. We take a credit / debit card by phone to secure the booking. No funds are taken unless late cancellation.
Our cancellation policy - over 14 days notice, no charge; 14 days or less notice we will charge in full, but only if we are unable to re-let the room. We advice all guests to take out travel insurance, to cover against the cost of cancellation.
Method of payment - either by cash (British Sterling) or debit card, Credit card payment (Visa, Mastercard) is available but has a 5% surcharge.
Please advise approximate time of arrival. No arrivals after 6.30 pm unless by prior arrangement.

For those travelling on the A1 South, Leave A1 at junction with A64, Take the second York exit from the A64 marked York West (A1036). Head towards the City Centre (approx 2 miles) turn right at traffic lights (opposite the Quick-Fit garage) into Scarcroft Road. At the end of the road at the traffic lights turn right, Alexander House is approx 100 yards on the left.
For those travelling into York on the A59 from Harrogate, Boroughbridge or A1 North, Follow the A59 into the city and turn right immediately after crossing the iron bridge. At the traffic lights turn left into The Mount and turn right at traffic lights (opposite the Quick-Fit garage) into Scarcroft Road. At the end of the road at the traffic lights turn right, Alexander House is approx 100 yards on the left.
Rail Travellers - Taxis are available from the station forecourt to Alexander House (approximately 3/4 of a mile).
Only 400 yards from the City Walls South East corner, half a mile from the Knavesmire Race Course.
We have a small private car park for 3 small cars at the rear of the property. there is also unrestricted car parking 100 yards from the house. |
