There are of course many very good hostelries to choose from and we are happy to make recommendations and reservations. |

| Alderholt Mill is a picturesque working water mill situated in a delightful rural position on the Hampshire Dorset borders ideally located for exploring the New Forest with its wonderful walks, mountain bike paths and bridle paths. Salisbury Cathedral, Bournemouth with beaches shopping centre theatres and cinemas, Beaulieu Motor Museum Breamore House Broadlands, Poole Quay and the Isle of Wight are all within easy reach (just to name a few attractions). The Mill machinery is still intact and can be seen working and producing flour. A speciality of the house is to offer bread made with our own freshly milled flour. The Mill is open to the public for milling demonstrations and cream teas during the summer months. We are able to offer Private fishing on the stretch of water surrounding the mill. There are Carp and Trout lakes within a mile also the River Avon at Fordingbridge and Throop on the Dorset Stour within a 20-minute drive. We can offer a lockup tackle shed, bait fridge, packed lunches and early breakfasts for the real enthusiast. We offer 3 double rooms and 1 twin room all with en-suite facilities also 1 single room with wash hand basin. All our rooms have Colour TV s and Tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a residents lounge and large garden for our guests to enjoy. We have no liquor licence, but you are welcome to bring your own tipple.
