Historical: Culloden Battlefield, scene of the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion. There are also some memories left of Oliver Cromwell. Visit Cawdor Castle, Urquhart Castle, Dunrobin Castle, Dunvegan Castle (Isle of Skye), Castle of Mey (residence of HM Queen Mother). Fort George, the last Hanovarian fort still in use
Skiing: Aviemore is some 35 minutes' drive down the A9.
Walking: Many hills, forest walks and the scenic Ness Islands close by.
Whisky Trail: This is most interesting. Hic! Hic! Tours: Chauffeur driven tours can be arranged Woollen Mill Trail: See some of Scotland's product; visit the local Woollen mill.
Haggis Hunting: Depending on the season.
Theatre: Eden Court is a 2 minute walk from Acorn House. Aquadome and Sports Centre is 5 minutes' walk from Acorn House
