| We are a quiet, comfortable guest house offering seven en-suite bedrooms. We offer a free-to-use Internet PC, WiFi throughout, and all rooms have digital Freeview DVD/TV. We take great pride in our standards of service. Whether you are here for a week or just one night, you will feel this is your home away from home - or "better than home" according to feedback from our guests. We are very conveniently located along the main road into Abingdon off the A34 but we are set well back from the road (and actually off a small service road running parallel to the main road) and behind some trees that provide a very effective sound barrier. A bus stop at the foot of our driveway provides easy and quick access directly into the centre of Oxford (just six miles away), and across the road is the bus stop to go into Abingdon itself (0.9 miles to the town centre). | ![]() |

| Accommodation We have a wide choice of rooms available. There is a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities provided in each room, together with a digital Freeview DVD/TV, radio alarm, personal security safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. In addition, every room has access to the free WiFi network. Extra Bathroom When Abbey Guest House was converted from a family house, as part of the environmental concerns all the bedrooms were fitted with en-suite showers to save water. There is however a separate bathroom containing just a bath for guests that prefer to use this facility.
Additional Facilties Many rooms have sufficient space that a small bed can be added to enable a child (or small adult) to be accommodated in the same room. A travel cot is available for babies (supplied with a clean base sheet - parents are asked to provide whatever top covering is used by their baby), as well as a high chair and plastic feeding utensils. A bed rail is available upon request, but guests are asked to bring their own 'bed side bumpers'. |

| Accessibility Abbey Guest House is able to offer a ground floor 'easy access' twin bedded suite. From the time of arrival, with seven marked out spaces to park and a very short ramped (1:14) access to the house, we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is comfortable and that all reasonable requests are met. The ground floor room is light and airy. Although the doorway into the bedroom is 820mm wide, the tight turning circle into the bedroom may restrict any wheelchair that has leg extensions. An emergency pull cord is alongside one bed and the toilet. The en-suite all level-floor 'wet-room' has space for left hand side transfer to the toilet and right hand side transfer to the shower seat. A bedrail is available if required. The guest lounge/breakfast room is on the same level as the 'easy access' suite. |

| After a good night's sleep in one of our comfortable beds, breakfast at the Abbey is intended to be an enjoyable experience. Fresh Farm Eggs are delivered each week from a local Free Range supplier (The Old Farm Shop, Milton Hill, Abingdon) and milk is also farm fresh. Meat products (sausages & bacon) are supplied by Eadles Farm in Oxford, and preserves are supplied by Well Preserved of East Hanney, an award winning producer of jams and marmalades who use locally available home-grown fruit. Other produce is obtained locally whenever possible and in season. An extensive range of options ensures that every guest can select the breakfast ingredients of their choice for an 'English Breakfast'. Vegetarian options are always readily available. For those guests that prefer a 'lighter' option, fruit juice, cereals, fruit and yoghurts are usually available. Most special dietary needs can usually be accommodated if notified at the time of booking. Why not visit the Abbey Guest House home page? |
