: Fareham is located in Hampshire between Portsmouth and Southampton. The town is located near the M27, making it easy to reach from outlying areas. There are a number of attractions located in the town that would be of interest to visitors including a variety of historic High Street buildings, many featuring Georgian architecture. There are also many entertainment options, including a nightclub and cinema. Other sights of interest include the Hovercraft museum, Porchester Castle, the Royal Armories Museum and Westbury Manor Museum. Fareham is an English market town located in the county of Hampshire. The town of Fareham gives its name to the borough that consists of the town and also the surrounding area.

Gosport is located to the south of the town of Fareham and the town is also located east of Portchester. The town of Fareham is located to the north of the M27 motorway and also the town of Wickham. To the west of the town lies the area of Catisfield, Titchfield and also Whiteley.

The Fareham Borough covers a much larger area than just the town and the borough takes in the areas of Portchester, Warsash and Stubbington. Despite this borough being relatively small there is actually two members representing the area within parliament. The town of Stubbington makes up part of the constituency of Gosport.

The census that was carried out in 2001 on the town of Fareham revealed that the town has a lower level of unemployment than most other places and the house prices within the town are also lower than average. The census also revealed that the town has higher than average house prices.

The borough of Fareham has a population of about one hundred and eleven thousand and the average age is about forty years.

Traditionally the town of Fareham relied on the local clay soil and the main industries where the production of bricks, chimney pots and also tiles.

There is a fairly good education network within the town.. The educational establishments are Henry Cort Community College, Cams Hills School, Meoncross School and also Neville Lovett Community School.
