The Irish County town of Enniskillen is located within the area of County Fermanagh. The town is located within the centre of the county and it is between the lower part of Lough Erne and the upper part of Lough Erne. The town of Enniskillen has a population of about thirteen thousand five hundred. About forty eight per cent of the population are male and females make up about fifty two per cent of the population. The town of Enniskillen is actually classed as a medium town within the statistical data in Ireland. The town is also home to the seat for the local government that is known as Fermanagh District Council.

The town of Enniskillen is the location that was once the home to two regiments of the British Army. The town was once home to the Inniskillings 6th Dragons and also the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

The Irish song writer and singer that is known as Tommy Makem once wrote a light-hearted song about the town and since then this song has been covered by the Clancy Brothers and also the Dubliners.

There is a vast number of tourist attractions and places of interest within the town and these include Castle Coole, Enniskillen Castle and also Cole's Monument to name a few.
