The Scottish town of Duns is located within the Scottish Borders. James the sixth created the town of Duns as a Burgh of Barony during 1490. The town of Duns is a former county town that was part of Berwickshire. The town of Duns has the biggest shopping facilities within a radius of about fifteen miles. The town is home to the sheriff court of Berwickshire and it is also home to the main offices for the council of the Scottish Borders.
