Crewe is the biggest town within the borough that is known as Nantwich and Crewe and this is in fact the only area that is unparished. The area of Crewe is well known for being a big railway junction and this was once home to large railway works. Between 1946 and 2002 Crewe was home to the Rolls Royce Company that produced cars however the factory that is located on Pyms Lane within the western part of the town is now home to the production of Bentley cars.
There is a major redevelopment planned for the town centre in Crewe and this includes the main shopping centre. The redevelopment is due to take place in 2010. There is also some redevelopment plans for the railway station and that is due to undergo a revamp.
There are a lot of attractions within the town of Crewe and one of the ones that is most popular is the railway museum and they have an advanced passenger train that is well preserved and it can be viewed from the railway line that is the main one.
The railway station of Crewe is located within a short distance from the centre of the town. The railway line is one of the biggest in the northwestern part of England and it is one of the main interchange stations on the main line of the west coast.
