
The English market town of Bedale is located within the district of Hambleton within the region of North Yorkshire. The town of Bedale is also a civil parish. The town of Bedale is located about thirty four miles to the north of Leeds, twenty six miles south west of Middlesborough and also seven miles south east of Northallerton. The town of Beale is located at the bottom of Wensleydale within the Yorkshire Dales.
The town of Bedale is a very popular tourist location all year around but especially during the summer months. The town was once based in the area of Richmondshire and it was once listed within the Domesday Book as being part of the Catterick Wapentake.
There is a golf club within the town and it is also only a short distance from the ancient towns of Richmond and Northallerton. The current golf course within the town is located on a parkland landscape and this has many benefits such as the wealth of he mature trees. The golf course within the town was founded during 1894 and it has been at its present location since 1967. During September 2007 the magazine that is published monthly and is called Golf Monthly stated that Bedale Golf course is one of the top six golf courses within Yorkshire.
The town of Bedale is the home to a small museum and there are a vast number of buildings within the town that dates back to the Georgian times. There is a station that is located on Wensleydale Railway and the trains run to Redmire from Leyburn.
